Hi, My daughter is 34 years old, she called and said she has a hard lump like feeling in her left breast and it is very painful when she touches it. I of course told her to call her doctor right away to have it looked at. She is scared and nervous. I tried to comfort her but I do not know if it worked. She is supposed to see the doctor this week. Could it be a cyst or something like that? I heard that cancer is usually not painfull. Thanks.

It could be a cyst or something other than cancer, but she definitely needs to have a mammogram. Her doctor might also recommend a needle biopsy. I also heard that cancer isn't painful, but everybody is individual. She needs to stay on top of this until she gets a definitive diagnosis.

of course your worried your her mom. It could be a cyst or something, and you did the right thing by making sure she was going to get it checked out. The best thing you can do is love and support her (which I'm sure she already knows you do). Good luck
