Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. I am a 34 year old Mom of three. I am a non-smoker.
I have a question regarding a dull pain in my left breast. It started just yesterday and my period will be here in about a week. Usually when I have breast pain before my period, it is a tenderness and it occurs in both breasts, not just one. This pain is just in the left side, deep in the breast. It come and goes and is mild for the most part.
I want to also add that my youngest child still nurses once or twice a day for a few minutes at a time. I don't have much milk in my breasts at all, he has been self weaning for a long time, and it has tapered off gradually.
I don't have a family history of breast cancer, but my Mom does have fibroids in her breasts that are harmless. I have never noticed those in my breasts.
Other than this pain, I feel great and I have lots of energy! I have been under a great deal of stress lately though( we are getting ready to move), so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.
I guess I am wondering if this pain is just brought on from my period, or from my child nursing or something else? I am hoping someone here will tell me to RELAX and stop worrying so much.
I appreciate any advice you can give.![]()
I have the same thing but with my right breast. I will be getting my period in a week also. Sometimes I feel an ache once in a while is normal, just because they could be more sensitive during certain times of the month, but if it doesn't stop or starts to happen more frequently, I would see your OBGYN. Just to be safe![]()
~Today, any person can fight the battles of one day It is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternity's- yesterday and tomorrow, that we break down. It is not the experience of today that drives people mad. It is the remorse of bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.
Let us therefore, live but one day at a time.~
