Exclamation pap smears- do they detect cancer cells?

I try to follow the "rules" and have one done yearly. I am nervous as hell because I had one done recently and the doctor office called today and said that it was abnormal. They didn't specify how bad it was they want me to come after the holiday to have another pap done. This my second time having one done and it came out abnormal. I had my tubes tied 4 years ago and it seems like I have more problems now then before the surgery. I have pre and post period symptoms. I feel as though my body don't get a break. If there is someone out there that can lead me in the right direction as far as informational web sites to help cope with some of my issues. I recently had a pelvic ultrasound(one of the worst test I ever had to take) and I want to chat with someone that may have went through something similar to what I am dealing with.
