An interested girl could walk up to me, strip naked, shove her breasts in my face and rub her crotch on my thigh, and instead of thinking 'Oh, yeah, she's interested in me!' I would be like 'Oh, I didn't know she is a stripper. Maybe she is trying to sneak in some practice before work?'

I know for a fact I've lost out on several potential relationships because of that. One was an older girl in high school on whom I had a huge crush. I later found out that she had a huge crush on me and was throwing me hints left and right, but my pea brain didn't get the message.
