I have a wedding coming up in December for a close friend. I am trying to decide if I should ask the guy I'm dating to go, or if I should just take one of my guy friends. I know some guys are weird about weddings? I personally am not a fan either, except for people I care about.
![]() My concern is that we will be spending the night and I dont' want to give the guy I'm dating the wrong impression if I were to take a friend? Thoughts? ![]() (Either way I am waiting till mid-November to ask, just wanted to get some thoughts on this) |

Why not ask him how he feels about it? Ask him if he'd like to go, no pressure, and if he doesn't you plan on taking the other person. It gives him the option and also let's him know you have a plan B...

I think you should ask the guy that you are dating first and let him decide if he wants to go or not. Maybe he is into that sort of thing. Just making an assumption that he might not be into that sort of thing, not even asking him, and then going and asking another guy to go would not be cool with me.

Yeah I was kinda thinking I should at least give him the option. I don't think I'd like it if the situation were reversed either...
I guess as long as I don't make a fuss over it, he might go And the spending the night would definitely be more fun

ask the guy you are dating. if he says yes
![]() if he says no do not take another guy, especially on an overnight trip. irregardless of the sleeping arrangement, it can only lead to an issue or argument later. |
