Default Making the trip

I am making a first trip to stay with a lady in Latvia. I asked if she would like to bring her something from America. She said it was nice not to ask, and even worst for her to say, but I did get out of her she would like some American makeup. Since they do not sell cosmetics in the tool section at the local wal mart store, I really need some good advise on what to get her. Thanks

That is really nice of you. To be on the safe side, get her some lip gloss, maybe something with flavor and a small hint of tint to it. Some nail polish would be good too...maybe something in a pale pink, but if you get her nail polish, get some remover and cotton balls too! Mascara is pretty safe, get a brown (not waterproof), Covergirl has a pretty inexpensive one. Eye shadows are nice too...stay with neutral tones, light browns or cream colored. Blush is pretty tricky if you don't have a clue about skin type and colors so I would stay away from those, you can always get a face bronzer in place of blusher. Hope some of this helps!

You can also get her blusher and translucent powder.
Blusher in a pale peachy shade and translucent powder
is good for all white people as it really doesn't have
a colour...though it would have a colour on a dark
skinned person.

There's one I always bought...it came in a gorgeous
tiny 'gold' compact...I think it's called 'cornsilk' but
it is absolute gorgeous.
