Thread: Am I the only one who has no desire to be in a relationship/have a boyfriend?

I have been divorced now for almost 7 years. I am a 33 yo attractive female in good shape. Since I have been divorced I have not had another relationship...in 7 years. I have no desire to be with anyone because I love my independence. I share custody of my kids with my ex. I got married really young (20 y/o) to a man that was 36. i did the housewife thing. Did everything for my family. Now that I am divorced and got back on my feet I love my freedom! Is this normal for someone my age? Are there any others like me out there? I would to chat with other independeny minded women and get there take on it. Thank you!

Me me me!!!!! Actually, I am 46, divorced twice, custody of my two kids, and just recently had to move back with my parents due to the recession. It hasn't been as hard as I thought because they are both older and not healthy, so I am really glad I am giving them and my kids this time to really get to know each other and spend more time together than the once a week dinner.

I was on my own for nearly 9 years and I loved it. I miss the sex, but I don't miss being married. My last marriage was a waste of 3 years and I was so happy when I got out.
