My Dh knows that I don't want flowers b/c the will die..now if he wants to give me flowers he gives me ones I can plant in the yard! They last longer that way! But I am happy with the little things he does like covers me back up when he wakes up, starts the cars in the morning when it is cold out and just being his self!

That's a great idea!!! I love that he can bring you flowers that will add to the beauty of your home!!! Although we have been talking about flowers from our husbands, boyfrinds, fiancees, etc, this is a great idea for MOTHERS DAY! I might buy my mother-in-law-to-be a nice little flower pot that she can display for the rest of the season! Perrenials can be added to the yard and will come up year after year! Sorry for the little peice of garden info! LOL!

I've gotten flowers from my boyfriend twice... valentines day and then once just as a surprise it was very sweet. he also sends me sweet little cards in the mail just to let me know that he loves me...... i love all these little things he does and i would feel totally neglected if he didn't do them for me. but in turn i do little things for him to... i mail him little cards and hide little notes for him to find at his place after i leave. so it goes both ways... why should he be giving you flowers for no reason if you don't do any special little things for him? just a thought....

Instead of being focused on things that we receive that make us happy, we should also think about what we do for others! Text mesages are cute every once in a while. Do you ever get the feeling that when you do something cute for someone for a long time they tend to not enjoy it or appreciate it as much???!!!!

My experience with FLOWERS Hmmm well my husband and I have been together now for 12 years married 5 and I recieved flowers when i popped out a kid.....thats true.
Once for our 11 year old and once for our four year old. He has bought me flowering trees for the yard if that counts! haha Its ok I Love him to death.

men sometimes dont think the way we think , some are really romantic some are not.i have gotten flowers when my husband and i was dating and even now after we got married he still buys them not often only on special occasion like valentines. its nice to get them but if they dont get u any that does mean he think of u any less or love u any less.

Maybe I have the greatest boyfriend in the world...the walls of my room are COVERED in dried flowers. We've been dating for almost 3 years. I'm about to move...900 miles away and I don't know what to do with them all!! One of my favorite sets of flowers was when he went on a family road trip to Missouri. A few days after he left HUGE yellow roses were delivered with a card that said he was in "Misery" without me. Even though I love it when he sends flowers to me I can't feel that special because he's the type that randomly sends flowers to his grandma too. He's amazing and I love him.....even without the flowers.
