Oh there are lots of names for gals like that in the English language, and think of how many other names there are on other languages too

But I'd say I'd call a girl like that an Eye-Opener, because if she tries to come between the couple and suceeds, she's in effect opened up the woman in the relationship's eyes about just how much better she can do for herself in the dating world than the guy who let another girl impact his relationship.

What about if the girl who comes between them decides she doesn't want him, so the girl in the relationship remains his.. as an opposing response to what you stated..

Haha sorry I probably could have written that much better (cold meds are catching up with me today!! lol)

But to me, if a man and a woman are in a committed relationship, and another girl comes into the picture and screws that up, well - it wasn't much of a relationship to begin with then because her interference should have been squashed in the first place.

The girl who interfered can be called a lot of things - some not so nice of course! But if anything, she sure gave a bit if intuition into what sort of person the guy in the relationship is! ie, not one any woman should waste her time with

I'm not sure if you read the first response I wrote or the edited one, but either way it doesn't make a difference per se. True.

Take this scenario: guy mets a shy girl who kissed one male before, and constantly talks to her.. a virgin.. prior to that she avoided men because she would get interested easily, and also didn't want attention from men just as a basis of their interest in her.. he wasn't her type but she thought she was interested because the communication was on a more personal level and they hungout alot, so the girlfriend was insecure and talked about her, as opposed to speaking to the shy girl.. which the shy girl didn't like, and she didn't like other things about the girlfriend either.. he told her that his family didn't mind if he left his girlfriend for the shy girl, and other females who didn't like the girlfriend told her it would be okay for her to be with him.. lets say, the couple broke up for a day.. shy girl went to his mommas house and they cuddled while watching a movie, attempted to kiss... an eye-opener for the shy girl just for the fact that she realized what she didn't like.. then she goes through the process of avoiding men again.. and starts to converse here and there, as a means to not be isolated from people..

Lesson learned on all accounts. Not only was the shy girl an eye-opener for the girlfriend (ie, she showed the girlfriend just what kind of sleezy boyfriend she had), but the shy girl also hopefully had an eye-opening experience of her own, and learned a lesson about getting to cozy with a guy who is already someone else's boyfriend (ie, don't do it).

    Hypothetically speaking, of course.

Did the female come between the couple or did the guy think that a shy girl spoken to on a more personal level, whom had only ever been kissed once, could become his conquest and so, dropping his girlfriend for one day to see if he was able to persuade this person in some way became his challenge, yet the shy girl said "not again", this guy is not what I thought, and so, digresses again to her personal space.

May have misread or not understood, but if there is a guy that has a girlfriend and then the Guy tries to kiss or make out with the Shy Girl and the shy girl doesn't like it and says no to a relationship.

Then the shy girl would be called Smart, the Girlfriend would be called " Clueless" as to the true nature of her boyfriend, And hopefully before she gets hurt to badly, she will be called the Ex Girlfriend.

The Guy is the one who deserves the " Negative Names "

Any man who refers to a girl or woman as a "female" (the noun, not the adjective) isn't seeing women as human ... rather as as a female animal that he happens to be attracted to. People let so much show through their vocabulary.
I cringe when I hear people do this ... then avoid them.
It seems the man in this question is a real sleaze, and not just for his linguistic choices. The women are victims, but they don't have to stay victims. They both saw through the man's falseness and let him go his own way. There are plenty of men like that out there, but also plenty who aren't. No need for the shy girl to cut herself off from all men, just use that intuition!

Women are female (adj,) but not females (n.) We aren't dogs.

Thank you for the responses they were insightful. I didn't initially think about those different aspects. I'd say girl was his conquest because he was attracted to her when he first saw her.. In the end, when he told her he was going to stay with his girlfriend, he called the shy girl, and she sounded upset. So he said he would take a break from his relationship with his girlfriend for a week, and see what would happen.. The shy girl never said that she didn't want a relationship with the guy though, but she didn't say that she wanted to be exclusive either. She didn't express much of her initial thoughts on the matter.

Thank all of you for your thoughts.. (:

Also, Little, I never thought about the use of the word female used in that sense, thank you for your point of view!
