Im Ready to Move on But...

Hi Everyone,

Almost 2 years ago my Fiance at the time and I called off our wedding which was scheduled for this coming November. We are the best of friends and we were hooking up but have since decided that it is not good for either of us, so that has stopped.

I have recently decided that I am ready to move on and start dating again. I am 26 years old and I want to move on with my life. I am ready to make some changes in the dating department.

But here is the kicker, we live together and in a couple of weeks his Mother and 7 year old brother will be moving in with us. We sleep in the same bed every night, and we spend a lot of time together. He says he has been ready to move on but hasn't done it.

I know the living situation is not the best idea, but I can't move home because I have landed a really great job where I live now, and the commute will kill me. I can't move out because I can't afford it on my own right now.

I am tired of watching my life go by here, I am so confused.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Get out the want ads and look for a room for rent or put an ad in yourself that you are looking for a roommate.
I won't even go into the whole still living together thing, let alone in the same bed. You need to live in separate households, otherwise you are still a couple. I couldn't imagine going on a date with someone only to find out they still sleep in the same bed with their "ex".
There's got to be someone in the same town you live in that has a room for rent.

Hi Katy, you are diffinately not ready to date again if you are still sharing a bed with him. Go sleep on the sofa or something. Eventually you will need your own place, of course you know that. 26, I wouldn't move back home either. It doesn't sound like you are confussed (except that whole thing of still sharing the bed) move on with your life.
