I can't even imagine how people can go through that kinda pain. :0
I mean I just got my third ear piercing the other day [this is it fer me piercings :P] and it hurts when I hold the phone to my ear and it's kinda hard figuring out how to sleep on my side cuz if I lay on it doesn't feel too good. But I like it anyway - the pain ain't too bad. I was talking to my friend about tongue piercings - ahhh if I ever had one I'd prolly end up ripping it out with a fork while eating or something. That's if I even survived getting that done.

Ehhh say what.. clit piercing?!?! Extreme. ow. alert. Sure sometimes it's nice having a lil nibble but getting a needle shoved through it - no thxkbai.

[QUOTE=damd;47673]Was going to get one of a sun and moon, going for the whole balance, yin yang cosmic thing, but then Tristis comes along with this avatar that looks simular to what I was going for and Uneeklyme comments that it looks just like her tat. Well, now I don't know what I'm going to do.

    You know you want it!

You could try getting something original, for example not a sun or a moon, stars, or asian writing, or barbed wire, yin yan is even worse.

A foetus would just be plain silly, how about a dead foetus?

Just pick something that means something to you which you havent seen on other people and go from there...

Yeah, to he honest, it wouldn't be a dead foetus for damd, it'd be a foetus in a suit playing the guitar.

I think it depends on what it is,how YOU feel about it and what you partner is generally attracted to.
I have some beautiful female friends with the most beautiful tattoos, and they are whole backpieces and sleeves.
I have guy friends who absolutely will not date a woman WITHOUT tattoos...but those men are covered in ink.

I have a lot of very nice, tasteful artwork on my body and i date a man who has "virgin" skin,he doesnt mind my tats at all...but i wanted to get more but I will not cuz I know that he doesnt PREFER them, but he knows that my tats come with the whole package.

Thumbs up Tattoos Are A Form of Self Expression

I have two fun, sexy, well placed tattoos. I always wanted one but could never decide what to get and where.. not to mention I was nervous about finding a good, clean parlor.

After my divorce I spent alot of time researching what I wanted and where.. and a year later I got the 1st. Its a beuatiful and unique piece that sits low on my back.. you cant see it unless I want you to

One key here is putting thought into it. Dont make an impulse decision!
2nd key point.. is ALWAYS be yourself.. if you have thought about this and it is what YOU want.. than do it! It is a part of what makes you.. you!

Heres a cute story (I think)..
As I said I have two of them. I also have a large piercing at the top of my ear. I have yet to see another person with it. Now, I am always feminine and Im clean and classy. My mother HATES the tattoos/piercing. She said what good man would want a girl looking like that. I said mom, I wouldnt want to be with a guy who didnt love that about me, and respect that about me. That I am an individual, and whom will also see that I am a clean, feminine woman who happens to have two tattoos and a piercing! Needless to say, Ive been with an incredible guy for a year now. He loves me for the softspoken, sweet, independent, feminine woman I am.. who just happens to have a little tiny interesting/wild side.

If there is one thing I believe in more than anything.. it is "to thine ownself be true." - shakespeare.

I don't have a problem with women having tattoos. If you're proud of your tatts, then good for you!

I have 2 tatts myself. one on each arm. they're high enough on the arm that if I didn't intend for you to see it, you never would. This way, in my professional life, if someone was turned off by that sort of thing, they'd never even know I had it. But in my personal life, I'm quite proud of them and don't mind anyone seeing them.

My neice (beautiful, young woman) wanted to get a tatt while visiting me. Although she was over 18 years old, I made her get her folks' ok before she got one. Also, I strongly encouraged her to get it where no one would see it unless she INTENDED for them to. She ended up getting a small tatt on the side of her hip which could easily be covered by a bathing suit (even a bikini).

My advice to people who are considering getting a tattoo is that they should pick a design, get the size right, etc. then put it in the place it would be every month for a year. If after a year you still want it exactly like that, then go ahead and get it.

As for the pain, I've always HATED pain until I got my 1st tatt. When I did, I realized that this is a type of pain that is so exquisite. It hurts initially, then becomes more of an irritation. Once it's over with your endorphins are going and you feel invincible. It's awesome! If I could get my tatts removed and replaced I'd do it all over again just for that pain. I like it that much. I only have 2 because I am trying to be conservative (and I don't have much discretionary money right now).

    Cheers.

I think tattoos are amazing... They're another form of expressing yourself... I believe that tattoos are very sexy... but it does depend on what it is and where it's placed.. I know when I see a guy with tattoos its an instant turn on for me... and I've been told the same thing about my tattoos from guys...

As for the pain.... I like the way it feels... After I got my first tat. I just couldn't help but go back and get more... I've got 8 now... And I get a lot of compliments from guys on my tats... And they are great conversation starters too… at least mine are, because most people have to ask me what mine mean…
