Just plain malnourished. . .

I have been to the doctor 4 times in one week. . .Once for myself getting the H1N1 vaccination, one for being stressed and stretched way out of my league, taking my son to get his vaccination, then another injection of a weekly B12 shot (I feel like a pin cushion) and yesterday for a very painful lump on my left breast. I knew it wasn't cancerous and that's why I didn't panic, but "bleep", it hurt so bad! O.k. so now I have to take 50 thousand units of something I forgot to write the name of next to the instructions but I know it's a vitamin and I have to take it daily. Basically the first visit last week, I got the blood work back (*they took a gallon*:D) and it sounded as if I were someone ridiculously malnourished from a 3rd world country.
Question is, should I take what was suggested for me to take, take a multi-vitamin or take what the doctor said PLUS a multi-vitamin or would that be over doing it?

Google "Healthy Diet" and you will come up with a hundred websites claiming that low fat is the way to go... personally I think that people are becomming so afraid of "fat" that they will skimp out on some of the most important and highly nutritional foods the world has to offer!!

I used to be anorexic when I was younger, It has been a long process but I have found a stable footing for myself and I feel healthier and more energentic by the day!! But my recovery diet wasent about gaining weight, it was about gaining the proper nutrients my body needed so survive and maintaining a healthy weight.

Even people that are trying to lose weight can benefit from such foods as Avocados, walnuts, almonds, etc... These foods are not the enemy, they supply our body with healthy fats that contribute in the absorbtion of vital vitamins and minerals! without these healthy fats our bodies will not be able to absorb the vitamins and minerals we ingest as easily, and we could be flushing all our hard work litterally down the toilet!

I was wondering if there was anyone apart of these forums that uses whole foods for their health rather than low fat/ reduced fat foods?
