Hi all

I have got an upper wisdom tooth that is three quarters of the way through (as said by my dentist) and he recommended it be removed and that he would remove it himself as it is causing me problems. He said that he does not stitch them once they are extracted which I find a bit odd for a wisdom tooth removal. Is this normal practice not to stitch them afterwards? Also, would a normal dentist (not oral-maxillo-facial surgeon) provide as good an outcome as an oral-maxillo-facial surgeon or would I be best get it removed by one of those?

Many thanks for any help or advice.

Kind regards

Helloo, after being a frequent "lurker" on this community, and it has helped me with so many issues, mainly pertaining to self confidence, that i had struggled with for years, I finally have registered, and wish to give back to the community.

My brother is kind of a packrat, and to make it worse he LOVES free stuff, even if he'll never use it, ever. just last week he gave me all the free tampons he has stowed away at his house, lmao. So, I was rummaging around today and found 2 boxes of Premium White Pro teeth whitener, and since I've had my teeth whitened thru a dental procedure, I'd like to give them to anyone who wants them. First 2 ladies to message me with their contact info can have them, I'll pay the S&H if it isn't too much. GL :)

Sharpening Canine Teeth

My two canine teeth are a very dominant feature when it comes to my smile. I don't have the perfect straight across teeth that someone who has worn braces posess. My two canines sit high on my gumline and stick further out than the rest, although they are quite cute and I get compliments on my "wolverine fangs" all the time. I like this part of me, and I want to make it more dominant, exaggerating the best of what I have if I should say. I'm *_not_* going for "fang sharp" or "vampire". Just a bit of sharpening, or maybe the right word is shaping to enhance a favorite feature.

What do you think of this type of cosmetic dentistry? I have heard of the damaging effects, such as tooth sensitivity and bacteria and such things. But, do you know someone who has had this procedure done?

Problem with Biting down (pain)

The last few days, I've been noticing that when I bite down on something, I get a weird pain sensation. It only happens with hard surrafces like crackers and things. But even when I was chewing gum, it hurt.
I have a dentist app. in December, but I don't know if I should go now or not.
Some things that ar ecold even hurt sometimes, like ice cream. I didn't notice it until yesterday, when it was like a pain schock through my teeth and gums. It doesn't really hurt, it's more like an annoying feel. I can't really describe it.
Does anyone else know about this?
