Hello,
I'm 14 and am not sure if I have started my period or not. For the past few years I have been getting a lot of white or clear discharge. About a month and a half or so ago I found that I had a very little bit of brownish discharge. It lasted a few days and then stopped. But then a few days ago I noticed a lot of what looked like brown blood in my underwear and thought it was my first period so I started wearing tampons but there was very little on them and it was still brown. About two days after it started it completely stopped. I'm 14 almost 15 and really should have started my period already. I'm confused and worried about what's going on. Please help!

So, this is kind of graphic in a way I guess, but I'm 19yrs old and not a virgin. I have never bled during sex, or had the pain of a broken hymen. Though, today I started my period and everything was fine. Well, when I pulled out my tampon, there was what looked like skin or something hanging from it? I know it's not a miscarriage or anything seeing as the last time I had sex or done anything active other than by myself was early February, with a condom AND birth control. I was looking stuff up and thought maybe it was my hymen finally coming out? I'm scared to talk to my mom or anyone about, and don't have a actual gynecologist seeing as I got my birth control from my University's health center. Please no sarcastic remarks this is a serious question.

Yep, its that time off month and to be honest Mrs uterus, you are taking the biscuit! My favourite, big, crumbly chocolate digestive biscuit!

Not only do you squeeze me within an in of what feels like im about to poop myself...but you insist on the bum ache?

I dont know if you remember ladies and gents (though I expect this category is more for the women) I made a thread about my 'bum ache' If you didnt read it then heres the jist, Imagine someone had succesfully shoved a tree stump up you, then begins to twist and pull it back out!

Well this month its arrived with a friend...the inner thigh shredder! As if stomach cramps werent enough? Pain killers do not work against these fiendish pains.

So I am afraid my only other option is, once a month, I cut off my lower abdomen in the hopes of finding a replacement for a week.

Is it worth making a trip to the doctor for him to say 'Its just cramps, deal with it'?

The 'bum ache' also plays a huge part in my mum and sisters periods too so its definately not just me :o

Suggestions anyone? I'm desperate.

But for now, all I have to say...is *_UP YOURS, MRS UTERUS!!!!!_*

So when I get my period it will start on one day then the next day there will be nothing then I will spot for a couple of days then it will either stop completely or continue for another 3 to 4 days.

My periods used to come normally. Like start one day then slowly taper off after 4 to 5 days. But my periods have been coming like this for a few months now and it's getting rather annoying. Sometimes the period will last for up to 10 days.

I'm 18 and my periods have been pretty regular for several yearsbut this is throwing me a bit out of whack.

I have been feeling really down the past 2-3 days...I have been gettind dizzy spells, shaky spells, cold all the time when I normally am not this way, tired a lot, and overall feel bad. I have been thinking that my Iron is down and that is why I am feeling so bad.

I began reading tonight about Iron Deficency Anemia and it made me wonder about could PCOS cause women to fight with anemia and if so, what can be done to prevent it from affecting us so much?

Missed 3 pills, now bleeding

Help! I'm worried. I missed 3 pills last week (yes, stupid I know) and started having breakthrough bleeding on Saturday. I've been "breakthrough bleeding" for 6 days now. I don't remember exactly which day, but I know that my bf and I had unprotected sex either last Friday or Saturday. I'm supposed to have my regular period in about 5 days. I called my OB-GYN and they said that I can not continue my pills right now until I wait and see if my regular period comes next week. If I get my period then I'm fine. If I don't then she wants to do a pregnancy test.

Here's the timeline of my situation:
Wednesday 11/4--missed pill
Thursday 11/5 -- missed pill
Friday 11/6 -- missed pill (had unprotected sex either this day or saturday..not sure)
Saturday 11/7 --breakthrough bleeding started
Sunday 11/8 --still bleeding
Monday 11/9 --bleeding
Tuesday 11/10 --bleeding
Wednesday 11/11 -- bleeding
Today, Thursday 11/12 -- bleeding
Next week: Tuesday 11/17 --supposed to start regular period

Is pregnancy a high possibility?

I'm on the Ortho Evra patch.
This is my week off, took it off Saturday and I started my period on Monday.

Yesterday my flow was pretty heavy, more than usual. Last night I had some painful cramps. This morning I started having some blood clots, they weren't very big. But I usually don't have that many, if any at all.
Now I've been having these wierd, uncomfortable, shooting pains up my vagina (not cramps, like actually feeling this in my vagina). The pain happens about every 7 - 30 seconds. My flow is very light now. But I keep having these pains.

OVARIAN PAIN, Painful Breasts-- Ovarian Cysts? Please help

I'm new here and I'm a little freaked out...

About 3 days ago I had really intense ovarian pain...It was hard for me to fall asleep at night, and the next day, it was painful to walk. I assumed that it was a normal sign of ovulation, but just more intense than other months for some reason. I was also having an increase in vaginal discharge- white, normal looking, but in excess. I had had this type of pelvic/ovarian pain the past, and because of it, refused to have sex with my boyfriend.

Then a couple days later, my breasts started really really started to hurt-- I mean, painful to the touch, painful to walk, and I don't have big breasts....

So, i started looking all over the internet for symptom checkers and answers, and I kept coming across a common answer-- ovarian cysts.
Does anyone think that my symptoms sound like ovarian cysts?
It's pain in both of my ovary-regions, not just localized to one or the other, so I'm worried that it's something else.

I started thinking about it, and I do have really painful menstrual cramps, a day before and the 1st day of my period. I did have an unusually heavy period this month- but really thought nothing of it.

Also, a couple of months ago, my therapist suggested that I have my thyroid hormones checked- because I've been very tired lately. I have been hypothyroid before, but only when I was at an unhealthy, low weight. I do have some of the symptoms of hypothyroidism: intolerance to cold, dry-skin, fatigue, some depression, but I assumed that these were just normal for me.
I looked it up, and apparently ovarian cysts can sometimes be triggered by hypothyroidism/other hormonal imbalances.

And another thing-- I've just quit smoking! and I was thinking, maybe the decrease in nicotine/other cigarette chemicals has changed my hormonal body chemistry, specifically my metabolism, which might contribute to hypothyroid.....?

Anyway,
I'm pretty darn sure that I'm not pregnant,...there's really no way.

What do you think? I'm really in pain here...I know I should go to the doctor right away, but I have so little free time these days it might be a couple of weeks before I get there.

thanks,

Anyway,
I'm pretty darn sure that I'm not pregnant,...there's really no way.

What do you think? I'm really in pain here...I know I should go to the doctor right away, but I have so little free time these days it might be a couple of weeks before I get there.

thanks,

Hello! I was thankful to find this site. I'm wondering also why I do have brown discharge a week or 10 days after my period. Actually , the last time I visited my ob-gyne ( doctor ) she says... brown discharge occurs because of ovulation time.....I do hope that it is normal to every women experiencing this matter and give peace of mind after they read this column.

Virgin-heavy period week early...scared!!!

Ok...I am on the verge of freaking out. First of all, I am a 20 year old, full-fledged virgin. However, recently my boyfriend and I have been messing around more than usual, but have never gotten to the point of having sex. As far as I know, he has not ejaculated on me at all.

Yesterday I got my period and it is a week early and really heavy. It is usually pretty heavy for the first few days, but I can't tell if it's heavier than usual. My nipples/breasts have also been sore for a few days (again, this usually happens, but I am so paranoid right now that I can't tell if it's more than usual). I never would have even questioned pregnancy, but when I did a google search of "period a week early" I got a ton of links with people talking about implantation bleeding and whatnot. I am absolutely terrified. I plan on keeping my virginity for a long while and don't see how I could possibly be pregnant. I just need some reassuring....PLEASE help!!!!
