Online Personal Training?? Great results!!!

i have just joined this forum and felt i should share my story. I really didnt have much money to spend on a personal trainer but i obviously needed help. i felt that people in the gym i attended were so intimidating and i didnt feel completely comfortable asking questions. i realized i need to do something so i got on line. i had seen an article about online personal training and decided to look into it. i didnt realize there were so many. some i found to be rather expensive. i also didnt want to pay for anything monthly. i just need something that would help me get into shape, show me what i need to do and give me guidelines. i tried a free site that i found to be rather vague. the exercise plans were rather general. the articles were helpful but eveything was generalized. then i found trainer4cheaper this site cost me $7.99 for 12 weeks. i recieved a general nutrition plan as well as three 4 week custome workouts that changed to challenge me. the free fitness questionaire help me give information on myself and i had personal emails from my trainer. they kept up with my progress and were very helpful. i simply took these workout plans with me to my gym and executed the as instructed. i have actually seen good results. this may be something worth taking a look at for those who are in my situation.

sigh...I have a problem.

Okay first i'll start off with the fact that I am 9 months pregnant, so wieght IS an issue for me, just can't do anything about it NOW.

But even NOW I can't seem to give up the sweets (candy, soda) junk food (fast food, potato chips, chocolate) I DO however REALLY enjoy fruits, vegetables and a good variety of lean meats (I'm not a fan of meat but still eat for health) and nuts.

I just love the taste and can't seem to stop buying it. Now I am (brace yourself for this) 255Lbs :o There, I said it 255 big, bad, fat pounds. I was 230 pre pregnancy, lost 15 LBs the first 24 weeks of my pregnancy (go figure, morning sickness and no "taste" for foods) NOW it seems I can't get enough of the junk (hubby isn't helping by having it in the house, and also the 15yr old that stays with us) and gained all this weight in a short amount of time...keep in mind though too I had a very "active" job for the first 7 months of my pregnancy so thats probably how I kept the weight off.

Now how can I STOP eating/ craving this stuff? I want to stop before I either gain even MORE weight or die of a heart attack!!!! What would one suggest to start doing post-natal to start losing the weight?

I know breast feeding helps, but I want my baby to get the good nutrients and not stuff from junkfood/ sugars.

Is there a way to convince hubby to maybe NOT keep the junk around so I don't eat it? I keep a big bowl of fruits on the kitchen table and an ample supply of yogurt, brown bread etc....but how do I change my cravings from junk to good again? I was doing good now I am slipping!!...

help!

Losing weight over a long period of time seems to really work well in the long term. There are actually a bunch of pretty inspiring stories on this site that all look like real people and not the ones you see as success stories on tv, but I'm still not sure if I want to go this route - suggestions?

advice needed :(

Hi there,

I need some advice here...I'm looking to lose 2-3kg and it's just those last few that are soooo hard to lose. I eat healthy and exercise almost daily. I've tried running, walking, a combination of the two, interval training, pilates and strength training. I seem to be bulking up or retaining fluid once I've started running more and the scales aren't moving. I know it can be muscle that is making the scales not move, but my clothes seem to fit tighter and I look more chunky. I do cardio for about 60 minutes, 5 times a week.

My goal is to slim down and have lean muscle. I am particularly keen on slimming down my legs. I understand that you can't spot reduce but they don't seem to be getting any smaller with all my hard work.. they only look chunkier.

I eat about 1200-1400 calories a day. I feel like that's pleeeenty for me. I used to eat about 900 calories + exercise for a little ago when I wasnt tracking (so had no idea I was eating so low) and I would binge on weekends. So as I said, 1200-1400 seems like heaps of food for me and I am full. I dont want to up my calorie intake because I already feel like Im not losing anything. I've tried low carb, eating lower calories, bumping up my calories, calorie cycling and just eating healthy foods when im hungry. Nothing seems to be working.

So my question is am I eating the right type/amount of food? and doing the right type/amount exercise to lose those last few kgs?

Any help/suggestions is much appreciated,

:)

Hi
I would like to share my weight loss journey with you. I weighed in at 204 after my second son was born and I had decided to take a break from my equestrian career to be a full time mom. I was miserable to have given up my career. I missed the amount of physical exercise I was used to and I hated how I looked and felt. My friend talked me into going to the gym... never liked the gym. Well I became a gym rat and would like to share my experiences with you. I have written my story on a free blog for you to read if you are interested.

*Edit... outbound link*

I am not selling anything. This is only to help aspire others to lose weight like I did.
Good Luck! :)

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this board, but looking forward to hearing from you and sharing my own experiences.

In January of this year I was around 245 pounds at 5'10, wearing size 14 pants, and 16-18 jackets, and 42DD bra. I started a weight loss and exercise program and averaged losing over 7 pounds a month, and am now down to size 4 pants and 6-8 jackets, and size Small in Misses Tops and Dresses and 38DD bra. The problem is that I seem to be stuck at 178 lbs since September. My waist is small, and legs can now rival Tina Turner's :D. and overall my body is now very lean, hard, and toned at this point. I work out on the Treadmill for 30 mins a day 6 days a week. The only thing that seems to have changed is that since the variety of fruits now available in the fall is much more limited from what was available during the spring and summer, so I am now snacking on nuts instead of fruit as I had in the spring/summer months. Are nuts that bad for weight loss that they can cause me to totally plateau at this point, or is there something else I need to be doing?

Thanks to you all

My name is Erin and I am 22 years old. I just recently had a baby and I am trying to lost 25 pounds to get back to my origional weight. At first, I lost most of it the week my son was born, due to a lot of emotional stress. But, after my son came home and I was feeling better, I have gained some of it back and it's been much harder to lose it this time. I eat pretty healthy, but I know my biggest problems are lack of sleep and not exercising enough. Recently though, my friend and I started walking in the mornings, and it's really gotten me motivated. Plus, I am on a gluten free diet now, due to sensitivities to gluten products. I have seen a little progress in this last week, and now I am just looking for more motivation. Thanks!

Goals:
Sleep better.
Work out more.
Lose a total of 20-25 pounds!

Hi All!

I'm wondering if anyone has had an experience in losing weight in your boobs..especially after having a kid. I had my precious daughter almost 2 yrs ago...and my breasts are a little bigger and droopy (breastfed for 6 months) Before I was preg, I was a mid to upper B cup...now i'm like a mid C. I'm pretty petite..5'2 and about 135. I'm pretty top heavy though. So what methods if any has helped you lose weight in your breats, cardio? Also will the little pooch below my belly button every go away??!!

thanks!

Has anyone used this and/or had any good or bad experiences? I picked it up today while I was out on my lunch break.

I workout/exercise 4-5 days a week, and I am working on getting more protein and veggies in my diet, but I am still at a plateau. I need something to give me a boost of energy and maybe help me workout harder or something to get past the plateau and start losing again. I only have about 10 lbs to lose but I've been stuck here for a good two months.
