It's so good that he has a responsible father who is able to care for him.
So - thought I would give you all an update.
DCFS interviewed my mom today. Asked her if they felt the baby was safe in my sister's care tonight knowing the potential outcome of a court hearing tomorrow. My mom said no. So they had an emergency hearing today. They gave the baby's father custody, thank goodness!!! They are mandating my sister attend yet another rehab, in patient or out, her choice. But all that matters is the dad got custody. He's going to spend the next 2-3 days where my sister is living to help transition the baby from breast to bottle, etc.
He's going to live with his mom for a while and she's going to help care for the baby while he's working, etc.
I'm so relieved, you have no idea! The world has been lifted off my shoulders!
