I really do not know what to do anymore and I am so tired emotionally.

We are staying in a flat together, me, the brother and the SIL. I work late, so usually I reach home around 8-9pm. Then there will be "surprises" outside my bedroom and bathroom door. Dust and hairs. Occasionally, the dust and hair are stuff into the bottom of my door crack.

I have tried both soft and the hard way. But it still boil down to nothingness.
Every time I want to reason out with them, I can only manage to speak to that brother, but not her. And guess what, that brother tells me that he has nothing to do with whatever that's happening to me !!!! Then I ask him to get his wife to talk to me then. But no...., she does not want to speak to me. Even though we are staying in the same flat, I have not seen or talk to the SIL since Nov 2008. Haa haa amazing isn't it. She always start banging or slamming the door when I reach home.

I have so many emotional breakdown. I really do not know what to do. I can't move out because the flat is under my and the brother's name. I want to sell of the flat but unfortunately, as the flat is under government, there are many restrictions.

I just need some advice. I am sorry if I am not being clear. I am too tired to write.

Your a clean freak and they aren't.. You may even have a little OCD, and things have to be the way you want them, which makes it way hard to live with people, other than like minded sweet.

It will emotionally definately get to you, my flatmate is lazy as and it shirts me to the hilt, I am probably like you but not obsessive, I can leave things to a degree, but my Mother was like that, everything was dusted so much that I pulled my teeth out, only joking, but to then turn out the same, WT?

Your clear, your tired, and it's getting to you.

Maybe move out and have that place as an investment? Let them pay the rent and get someone else in, if they can't handle the Mortgage alone.

You need your well being, and if she hasn't spoken to you since Nov 08, or seen you? Man, that's rough on her as well.

Your talking about dust and hair, are you talking dirty dishes left in the sink, the place looking like a "brothel", probably as well. But, that's my advice to you..

That sounds like a pretty stressful living situation. What does your brother say about his wife not speaking one word to you when you live in such close proximity? He must feel how tense the living situation is!

One thing I've learned living with a slob and then living with my messy boyfriend. If you want something clean, or cleaner than cohabitant wants, then you have two options: clean it yourself, or let some things get more cluttered/messy than you would like.


Any chance you or your brother and SIL could part ways, living in your own respective homes where you and they could be as clean or unclean as you all want?
