I love my baby sister to death, I do, but she is so irresponsible. She also is sooo concerned about keeping her husband happy (who cheated on her less than a year into their marriage) that she forgets that *WE* are her family. He is working the day we are celebrating Christmas. So rather than doing Christmas with us and his coming by later, she is just going to wait till the next day and stop by for about 30 minutes on her way somewhere else.
It really makes me livid, and I don't get angry easily, but I only get to see my nephew about once every month or two. Last holiday (thanksgiving), I drove over an hour out of the way to see her for an hour, then over an hour back because I wanted to spend time with them...
BUT i can't seem to get it through her headUgh... We even offered to come pick her up (which is about 2 1/2 hours roundtrip) just so she could be there, but nope...
I am really about over Christmas holidays![]()

I know "family" is family and special occasions are "special occasions", but she's married now and unfortunately that does allow her to make her own management decisions, because she's also an Adult
He may actually be quite controlling and you guys aren't aware of it, he may have said, we'll go the next day, on our way to so in so's, and she's gone "okay"... she's probably not independent sweet, and won't make decisions on her own.
Nothing you can do, unless you "nicely" want to ring him and suggest that you keep "her" company on a special day instead of her being stuck at home on Christmas Day on her own, and that he swing by later, say hello cause you all would love to see him on that day too, ...

It doesn't happen over night
if truth were to be told.
Like everything in life that's hard to achieve
you must believe!
