Sorry Sockswsandals... I wish there was something we could do.

But, we are definately here for you for any questions you have, or just to even vent and tell us how your day went over the next two months.

    How about we do that?

Be your support until you can move...

Yes, stay with us here. Talk, share, vent. It does help even if it doesn't get you out of the situation.

I can well believe what you are saying about the schools not responding. I've seen sort of thing happen with one of my kids friends. He was terribly abused at home by his stepfather and he did some fairly dramatic attention getting things at school - all got he got was in trouble. It wasn't until his stepdad commited suicide in a high drama situation that nearly got his mom killed too and involved law enforcement from three counties, that the courts finally stepped in removed him from the home.

He's doing OK now, finished school, started a promising career. These experiences don't have to define your life, it won't be easy, but you can rise above all this. Just the fact that you see the problems makes that possible. You know this isn't how life should be and you can create the life you want.

Well, the thing that worries me the most is that the adults in this area simply don't care. Sometimes I would come into school crying and bleeding because my mom bitten me on the way to school. The teacher would ask why I was bleeding and I would tell them my mom had just bitten me. They would just nod their head and get me a bandage.

I'd be will to bet that it's not so much that they don't care but that they can't do anything about it. The laws in some states make it so hard to get a child out of the home.
I mentored a little girl for a few years that really needed to be taken from her parents, so did her brothers. But the laws are so strict that you pretty much have to seriously hurt your kids, more than once to get them into custody.

Have you talked to a counselor at your school? What about calling the state mental hospital, just to ask what resources are out there that you could turn to. Surely they would know the laws and groups available out there to help you.

    Hang in there buddy.

Wow where I live the teachers, doctors, whatever are Required to report Anything suspicious. One of my sisters got questioned because her son had broken so many bones, he was just a rough and tumble kid who played his sports full out.

Talk to a counselor at school. Even if they don't do anything, insist they make a record of incidents.
