jnd, we too have been together for only 5 months... but I hope that in this time I can show him that I'll be there for him no matter what.

Well, he's overseas now, and he's two hours behind on a promised phone call. I'm just worried... I hate, HATE not being there, and not knowing what's going on.

I was going to drop by to see how you were.

Don't worry about time, 5 months is a good amount of time, "still honeymoon stage" okay, remember that.

You know how long it takes to get "overseas" and the travel involved, tired, and then all the family together, talking and taking your attention, and you know that when he finishes with that, first thing will come to his mind, Mes.

    And HE WILL CALL YOU

Told ya not to stress, quit it
Do we not realise that in order to find a soul
    It doesn't happen over night
if truth were to be told.

Like everything in life that's hard to achieve
    you must believe!

Haha! Thanks CW... alright he did call, so I know he's still alive...

He and his family are busy busy busy preparing for the funeral... It's a bit cruel, isn't it, that people have to do that IMMEDIATELY after losing someone, and in effect forcefully delaying their own grief and healing process.

I'm concerned for his mom since now she's going to be living all alone.

    Ugh.

I'm trying to remember that this isn't about ME, it's about HIM, and I should be the strong one... but for some reason it's working out a bit backwards at the moment.

    Thanks for the support guys.

I am very sorry for your bf and for you as well. Death is never easy. I lost 2 best friends (one also a cousin) within a 2 year span. Both extremely tragic. I handled both very badly. I was 17 and 19 at the time of them (as were they). Everyone deals with death different. He may need you most now or he may try to distance hisself. Be there for him but try not to smother him either. Sometimes when I was trying to deal with the loss I would need to talk about it. But then other times I absoluetly had to be alone and deal by myself because I just couldn't take the encouraging words, they made it worse. It will be hard for a while. You probably won't kno what to say to him but that may not be a bad thing. It will be hard for you because most likely you will just have to let it ride for a while and see what happens. Time heals.
