Thread: Do you think hitting children is wrong?

Not having kids of my own and not having been 'in the trenches' raising them, I won't venture an opinion.

But will have to say I was spanked often as a kid, and that I truely deserved every spanking I received. Always a hand to the bottom, never belts or switches etc. I remember clearly my father looking into my eyes before applying a spanking and saying "this is going to hurt me more than it does you" At the time, I sure didn't believe him, tho his eyes said he was telling truth. I understand and do believe now.

I don't believe in hitting kids, my parents never hit me. I won't hit my own kids.
