Thread: Single Mom Just Moved in with My Single Mom

Can you relate? My two young kids and I moved in with my mom this summer and it has been very challenging. To begin with she is not the easiest person in the world to get along with and tends to yell a lot. I am also fiercely independent and she can't relate to that at all.

Are you living in a multigenerational home? if so, how do you cope? do you have your own space? Sometimes it doesn't feel like I do. The kids are usually in my room watching tv because they don't want to be with her. Very frustrating at times.

Were you in this situation and found a way out? Please tell me how you did it. LOL.

Unfortunately, you're living in her house so you have to take the good with the bad. Did you move in because she needed help or did you move in to get on your feet?
