Thread: SURPRISE!!! not!!

hmmmm not sure how to swallow this one. So 3 months ago my dad started dating again. It's been 2 yrs since my mom passed away. I'm far from being ready to except another women in my dads life but I dont really have a choice so I'm happy he's happy. Well over the past few months, its been really hard planning my wedding without my mom. Tomorrow I'm going Dress shopping which is a day that I'm dreading.
Well my Dad decided to sping something on me tonight. Surprise!!! 3 months into dating, He's Engaged!!! I have no idea what to say. Just 2 weeks ago he said he doesn't ever want to get re married, now this. I have no idea what the rush is. His pastor likes to rush every couple in the church to marry because they are "living a sin". He tried to do the same to me so it doesn't surprise me. Yes it hurts that he's so easily moving on but I'm worried he's making a huge mistake. We all know our parents always told us that 3 months is not enough time to know someone or to know if you love someone enough to spend your life with them.
Of course he says he doesnt plan on marrying anytime so but well it only took 2 weeks for him to change from never getting married to engaged.
I've got one thing to say.... UGHHHHHH!!!!! thanks for letting me vent
