BD, I think it was deliberate but I think, that it was way past her intentions, rather that Aunty or, that Aunty has so put so much carp into your Grandma's head about "Grandpa" and the fight if you will of what occured re hospitalisation that she had no choice, as Grandma was invited...
See it may have been a while ago, but it was a battle, argumentative over the situation and those people would have been at the party...People don't forget and that Aunty got her way, I'm betting she got her way here as well...

Even though BD is one of the most caring and giving people I know, in this case I also don't think she should "give" anybody satisfaction by giving it another thought.
Then we both agree that giving isn't worth giving because she shouldn't give it another given thought after all she'd be giving them what they want and even though she is a giving type person, well she just shouldn't give a and in that .........she can go give something nice to someone else

You done your best to get your story out. Sometimes it is best to absorb slings and arrows without too much protest to get along with others.
