Yes, we left this morning nonstop fron san diego to honolulu. Was early, they said lighter than usual winds. I turned on my ipad as soon as we arrived, it must have signed on wh because I was not using the forum. We're at the hospital now. Baby sister was happy to see me, she's doing better but has to stay until monday.

Has your hubby had the opportunity to see where you grew up yet? If not, he'll probably enjoy that!

While there , I hope maybe you and your family can have a quiet talk with the sister that decided to take a 14 year old up those dangerous stairs and they are and can be very Dangerous even for seasoned Hikers.

That sister seems to be a quite irresponsible and not seeming mature enough to make many wise decisions. With her having " Many Boyfriends" and being promiscuous and now doing something which is Illegal and endangering her little sisters life and her own, in climbing the Stairway to Heaven , as it's called sometimes.

That sister needs some guidance before something tragic befalls her or someone else by her immaturity and "Wild " Behavior..

I do hope you enjoy your stay, even if it's for the Leg Injury that has brought you back to your family, if even for a short visit.

Also have a talk with your Youngest Sister and your Brothers , if younger than 18 and caution them about going places that their Parents do not know about, and may not approve of .

My two that live home with me, even though 24 & 21, always, leave a note or text me where they are going, unless it's to College or work or a Jaunt within a few miles of our home, Bank or store.
This is out of Courtesy and Respect so I don't worry and I do the same with them, so They don't worry ..

    Have Fun, Enjoy !!

Your right about the climb being for hard, I climbed to the top when I was 16. i was a real tomboy in those days. there were 5 of us that started, 4 boys and me. We had decided to race to see who could make to the top first. Two of the boys gave up about 3/4 of the way up. I was the second one to make it, I would have won but I had to deture to pee behind a structure and one boy got ahead of me on the final assent and I couldn't pass him.

The climb is long and hard but not that dangerous because the stairs are solid and there are hand rails. i've climbed to the top of Mt. Kaala, the highest point of the island, 3 times. It is a lot more dangerous, the last ridge at the top is the worst. We would go up in pairs, tied togher. If one was to fall off one one side, the other one was supposed to jump off the other side. Thank Buddho it never happened to me. Those climbs were real adventures, we even had to watch out for wild boars. i would love to take my hubby op there but I don't think I could make it today.

I started to have a talk with my big sister but she said my parents had said it all. She lost her allowance and weekend car privliges for 2 months.
