Just never happy about anything, is she? You 2 can't do anything right in her eyes.
I wonder... all MILs like that?????
You know what, not all MILs are like that because my future MIL is a sweet lady and doesn't tell either one of her sons how to live or anything. She might make minute suggestions but that's it. Now the REAL Monster is my own mother!!! She actually got between my fiance and I 1 1/2 years ago and actually LEFT me with my grandparents which were about 7 hours away from my fiance!!!!! She never approved of anyone to be with me no matter how many times I kept telling her that he was the best man that I have found because he is sooooo sweet to me. Because of the way she treated him, I left home and when I got my new cell I haven't called her or my family since. All of them tried to tell me that he is a "wife-beater" when he, clearly, is not. They're all the controlling type in my family so I'm happy that I don't have to deal with that anymore.

Busygirl, you should just ignore her. Everything she does, just ignore.

Default I am in the same boat...

I am just so lucky to have the mother in law I do---NOT! She is awful, so I know what you are going through. She was fine until my husband and I got engaged. It went sour after that! We live 12 hours away from her, and she STILL makes unannounced visits! We have a small apt, so guests sleep in the living room, but she insists on sleeping in our bedroom!! She washes the dishes right after I get done washing them and running them in the dishwasher. And just last week during her visit she ruined my antique table that my grandparents left me by leaving a sweating glass on it, when there was a coaster 2 inches from her. I could go on for days and days with stories. The way I deal with her is just knowing that I don't have to see her everyday, and that she just has a strong personality. I have tried to confront her, but she doesnt want to hear it. If my husband tries to talk to her, she would just cry and say that she was doing her best. I just try and be positive. It makes things so much more bearable knowing I am not alone though! Good luck with yours---I hope things get better! Keep us posted.
