so the last few years iv come across a frustrating problem. since i was 16 iv been a runner i have thick calves (and my family no matter how skinny everyweher else had large thighs), so its very near impossible to find boots that go past the ankle that will close. i just want to know if anyone has found any stores or websites that actually have boots like this (especially platform boots).

Years ago, My mom dug out an old pair ow cowboy boots and found that she had that problem, despite the fact that they otherwise fit. She took them to a shoe repair place and had them put an elastic expansion thing in the top and then they fit perfectly.

Maybe you could do that if you found a pair of boots you just loved.
