Smile Cashmere 6th Annual Fashion Show: Fashion Supporting A Great Cause

I thought it might be nice to post a thread about fashion, large brands and joint efforts to support a good cause. I recently bought a Cashmere product and was pleased to discover that a portion of the cost was going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. I was looking more into their involvement and discovered they host an annual fashion show fundraiser, which took place this week in Toronto. And online constests... all linking to breast cancer support. If you are interested in finding out about how Cashmere and some amazing fashion desingers help fight breast cancer

Hi pattyL,

Perhaps we can use your thread to ask if anyone has any causes that they back up.

When I was part of a Corportate Real Estate sector, I donated 10% of all earnings deducted from the Franchise Office to Breast Cancer.

I think it's good to believe in a cause and help that cause and Corporate Fashion shows are a great way to do it, or purchasing something because of a cause.

I see your link was edited, unfortunately outbound links are not allowed on this site .

I also started a thread here IDK a year ago? In the Lounge. Each time someone replied on it, I had to donate 50c to Animal Welfare league.. I donated in the end I think around $600's. Couldn't do that again but it was a great thing to do.

As finances permit I donate to the Native American College Fund. When my mom died a scholarship fund was set up in her name though the Eagle Lodge Alcoholic Recovery program, which she had worked with. It was the first Native run program for Native Americans. It has now been largely absorbed into other programs. So the NACF is a good subsititute to honor her.

I love cashmere but it's not often in my budget!
