Help with ankle boots!

Hiya everyone.

My boyfriend recently bought me a pair of black ankle boots that i love. The are the style that have the wide top, so you can wear them with leggins and tights etc.

For my birthday, my mum has bought me another pair - which i chose and I absolutly love them. They are a dark brown, but tight at the top. Im panicking as i have no idea what to wear them with. I have tried leggings but they look silly as the top part of the boot is tight, not sloppy, and i cant wear skinny jeans with them as they wont stick in!

I have tried long Jeans with them, But i just cant get on with the style of it.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!

it would be better if you had a pic of the boots so i could now the style, but to me it sound like they could maybe work with some thick black tights and a over size tee, or a cardigan style dress top... or maybe if you like you could wear a skirt eg a denim mini with black tights or a high waisted buble skirt cheak this one out on ebay item number (200446594324) for a vintage style. or even tight fited shorts high waisted or hipsters... good luck

Sounds like what we used to call a grannie boot. They are great with long skirts or short ones and you should still be able to wear them with tights

lOl, anyway!.. that is actually tricky... I think the idea of wearing them with tights and a loose oversize dress can be really cute. I would NOT wear them with a skirt of any kind, except for maybe a very tight fitting one - no bubble skirts or flowy skirts,, please A pencil skirt can be cute, but they are usually black and your boots are brown... that doesn't mixe. so I think you're stuck with tights and a oversize tee/dress

Definitely not with a skirt!
