Default What are the staple clothes?

I heard that you have to have staple clothes and then you can mix and match with anything. Does anyone know what they are exactly.
I heard to atleast have a black dress then i don't remember the rest.

I've heard that you should also get a skirt, pair of dress pants and jacket all in a dark or neutral color. Also, get a couple of tops and then you can mix and match to get a bunch of outfits from just a few items.

In my school choir there is a black dress that we have to wear when we have concerts. We call it the Amish Dress. ^_^

The dress that the really experienced singers wear (you have to audition to get into that...AND I GOT IN!) is much nicer, but it has no sleeves and it shows every bit of fat you have. But it's pretty. It's called, "The Dress" or "The AVE Dress" (Advance Vocal Emsemble). Only two black dresses I have.
