Default i want to dress more feminine but dont know how

ok so basically i want to dress more feminine but keep my rock chic look. i dont have the best figure im what they call "apple" shape. i like my baggy stuff to hide my figure, although i do own a few dresses but never wear them as i find them too fancy to wear everyday. i need help as i dont know what to dress like. most of my clothes like i said are baggy and just do nothing for me, im worried that dressing like a "tomboy" around my boyfriend he doesnt find all that attractive. i really need help for my sake please can anyone give me tips?? i wear makeup, im thinking of getting my hair done, but its the clothes i have trouble with. cheers

Maybe we could help more if you posted a picture of yourself in your normal clothing. Doesn't have to include anything above your shoulders either, unless you also want some advice on hair and makeup.

I will check back when the pic is here. Maybe you would find it easier to upload it to your profile, then put a link to it here.

    Accessorizing:

Heels, heels will make whatever you are wearing look more feminine. You could be wearing a wifebeater tank and a pair of holey jeans, but slap on a pair of heels and you have just made that outfit femme and sexy to boot

Also big chunky bracelets or dangly earings, or BOTH. Picking some girly jewelry can go a long way to making you look more feminine, despite choice in clothes.

    Make up:

If you are not the kind of girl that likes to spend hours in the mirror, invest in a color stay lipstain. You put it on in the morning and it stays on all day. Just lipstick and a touch of mascera is enough to make you look more feminine... you don't have to cake on foundations and eyeshadows if you don't want. Lipstick, mascera and perhaps a touch of eyeliner are really all you need.

    Hair:

I don't know what your hair is currently like... but if you are not the type that likes to spend a lot of time fixing your hair... then do something cool with the hair color... have it highlighted or brightened up... That way it looks like you put effort into your hair even on the days you don't.

Blow dry your hair upside down, lose the scrunchies, the buns etc... and wear your hair down and loose sometimes... if you have shorter hair, wearing it slicked with gel, or wearing it messy with some mouse can make you look more feminine.

Those are steps you can to do look more girly in ANY clothes you have.

    For actually DRESSING more feminine:

You don't need to wear dresses and skirts (if you don't like them) to appear more girly. Its all in the cut of the clothes. Wearing things that fit your body correctly will go along way.

If you have an apple shape... avoid skinny jeans or pants with tapered ankles... they draw attention to your mid-section. Instead, stick to pants that flare at the bottom, they balance out your figure much much better.

If you are not happy with your tummy it might make sense to you to wear something baggy to cover it up, but it just doesn't work that way... all it does is make you appear even bigger than you are. Stick to fitted tops and invest in some (comfortable) foundation garments. They have some great ones out there that aren't uncomfortable corsets that just suck you in... they have ones that simply smooth out your body shape and keep you from being 'jiggly'. Putting one of those on will make you feel more confident wearing shirts that fit you more snug.

Bra's. Invest in some underwire push ups. Cleavage is a pretty feminine accessory :P If you have a smaller bust, a push up bra will give you a more fuller looking chest. If you have a bigger bust a push up will help them to appear more firm and upright.

If you are bigger... avoid patterns and florals and such on your clothes... (they aren't that flattering on the skinny either :P) Instead stick to clean fabrics, pin-striped pants can make your legs look longer, if you are bigger uptop then on bottom... try wearing black uptop with color on the bottom so your eye is drawn lower making your shape appear more balanced.

When you wear a colored top, especially a bright one... wear a light black open front/button up (unbuttoned) sweater over it.. it will lead to a more narrow visual on your waistline.

Dressing more feminine doesn't have to change who you are... you don't have to undergo a major make over... pick one or 2 things that you like and dont think will hamper your style and go for it.

The Kymaro New Body Shaper is a great one, I use to use one before I got my tummy the way i wanted it. Its great because it also smooths the back and it leaves the breasts open so you don't feel suffocated. Its texture is different than the usual and feels like you are not wearing anything.

Make sure your push up bra not only has an underwire but also has pads in it. Look for a demi cut push up bra, with underwire and pads... those really seem to do the trick
