    Default Keeping warm!

For those of us like me who have to suffer with the bitter cold and snow we are having here in the UK, I have been wondering what you have been doing to keep warm.

Today I decided I needed a nice, new warm, wooly jumper to keep warm in during the very cold weather we are having here.....well that was my excuse to my boyfriend for my "retail therapy".

A comfy sweatshirt! (I am from Wisconsin, so it gets cold here too!)
~Today, any person can fight the battles of one day It is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternity's- yesterday and tomorrow, that we break down. It is not the experience of today that drives people mad. It is the remorse of bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.
Let us therefore, live but one day at a time.~

Nice selection of neck scarves and ear muffs. Chicago weather is not kind.

Seeker - Try a shot of cinnamon schnapp's with 3 or 4 drops of tabasco. It taste just like the hard cinnamon candies..

I have a scarf around my neck pretty much all the time. As well as I wear a hoodie, sweater or jacket all the time, wool socks are the best too. I have a little space heater in my office, a heating pad on my feet and an electric blanket on my bed.

With the way I dress, you'd think I lived at the North Pole.

I'm from Hawaii where the temperature never goes below the high 50's at night in the winter. I live in southern California now and the night temperature sometimes goes down below freezing. When it does, I'm freezing too. Even with the heater running, I have to wear a sweat shirt with a down quilt to keep warm. It helps to snuggle. : )

Ugh the cold has hit western Canada as well, its brutal. The worst is that dry bitter cold, of course accompanied by wind doubling the already frigid temperature. I have an already messed up thyroid so I am cold in the summer so the pills help me out a bit but when the winter hits I am just frozen! My methods include tea, hot chocolate, taking showers-this is often because once I get a chill it won't go away for hours, then I load up on warm fuzzy socks, thick knitted cardigans, various long sweaters, slippers, house coats, don't forget the well insulated winter jackets (I favor Airwalk or Burton) lol you name it I do it. I need to move somewhere warm!

I find that keeping my feet warm makes all the difference. Those slipper socks are great.
