    Default Old skirt

A few years ago, I bought a skirt from a hand down store. It's long, and has slits on both legs. I want to wear it, but I don't want to look dorky or something. Can anyone share any tips on what I should wear with it or should I toss it?

    Thnks!

You don't say what colour it is but - High top boots with a high heel, dark stockings, and top it off with a longish blouse left undone over a co-ordinating tee, belt it and wear some long chain-type jewellery (necklace and earrings).

It's a semi dark blue color. It's really long though, it comes down to my feet.

Super long skirts have made a slight come-back but it really depends on the individual skirt as well as your body shape. I'd possibly stay away from it personally, or maybe taylor it to a shorter length if you really like the color/material.

Otherwise I'd wear a plain tank top (maybe white) and a bold necklace of a color similar to the skirt's (but not necessarily exactly the same).

Clothes should make us happy - if this skirt will make you happy go for it.

I agree with Mes don't wear anything that isn't comfortable, you aren't happy in and you don't feel beautiful in. If it doesn't do it for you - donate it, let it be someone else's find.

try on different style tops on it. sometime a long stylish top look good on long skirts and use color of top as per the season and trend.
Well If you like to try then you can try one more thing. cut the skirt from bottom and stitch it to height you want. and here you go with trendy skirt...
