    Default Anyone here into lolita?

    I'm really just curious! ^-^ Are there any ladies(/gents - let's not discriminate) on this website that like to wear poofy petticoats and cute dresses and what not?

    *raises hand* I know I do! It's the only way I'd be able to stand dressing-up. Of course this is all in-the-future. I have a petticoat and some bloomers, but that's for a cosplay. Once I get a bit more money, I'm going to get a whole bunch of lolita-style outfits.

    Ah! And just in case someone here sees the title and thinks I'm talking about the book, Lolita, not to worry! This is something entirely different. OuO b

    XD Just about! I'm pretty lay-low in real life, actually. Shy and junk. On the internet, however, I get really random and boisterous and I gain a habit of ranting my brains into combustion.

    Yeah, I understand! ^-^

    ...Nevertheless, I'm sure there are people out there who are a bit on the older side of young that enjoy wearing lolita. OuO But, anywho, would you mind if I asked how? I suppose it wouldn't hurt to turn this into a more general thread.

    It's a street style popularized in Japan! It's pretty much just about looking cute - like those expensive dolls with the gorgeous dresses and bonnets from way back when. Its trademark would be its dresses, the majority of which are knee length and, well, poofy.

    Lolita's a really modest style, despite that! Chances are, if you're wearing a dress with straps for sleeves, you've got a shirt underneath. Knee length socks or stockings, Mary-Janes, adorable hats/bows, etc... XD It's all just freaking adorable! And then you've got the sub-styles: punk, goth, shiro, guro, sweet, classic, hime, kuro, country, sailor, wa, kodona, aristocrat, cosplay, and ero, so on and so forth.

    I'd suggest googling it! ^-^;
