    Default Dressing to look shorter?

Ok so I know many people wanna dress to look taller. Well personally I don't want to be tall. I am 5'3 and I wanna appear shorter. Any tips, tricks, or ideas? Thanks

I don't really have any ideas on that one, have you tried google? But, why do you want to look shorter? I'm curious. I'm "fluffy" so I like to lengthen my look to help reduce the fluff. I have idea how to reduce height, though. Maybe just hang out with really tall people? lol

It's not that I have a problem with my guy being short or me being taller than a boyfriend. I just like to feel short. I'm already short in the place I live but I really like to feel short. (:

Try a longish shirt and capris. I wore that today and when I looked in the mirror I thought they made me look shorter. I'm 5'8" and like being tall. I don't dress to look one way or another as far as height goes, but since I saw the thread, I thought I'd mention it.

What you want to do is something called color blocking. It separates your two halves and fools the eye into thinking you are shorter. Short chicks are told not to do it because it makes them look stumpy. Tall girls can not only get away with it but use it to their advantage.
So wear different colors up top and bottom. Like white top, black pants or blue top and cream skirt... you get the idea.

Wear your hair down, keeping curls near the bottom.

But play up your legs, your guy will not care about you being a little taller if he is thinking about what awesome legs you have because of that height.

I am short and don't like to look short. Since I saw your thread, I thought of posting. I avoid large print clothes as they make me look short and stout. You can try wearing them.

Jeans with flares rather than skinny jeans make people look small i think, so maybe try that

Avoid wearing saree because in saree girls will look taller. Wear causal wears and flat sandals.
