Talking I can't ever find clothes that fit

Hello everyone,

Does any one have some suggestions on where I can find clothes that fit in San Diego?

I am 5'10 and not a skinny girl but also not a plus size. At least now the clothing (jeans) makers are making jeans in LONG. I wish all pants came in short, average and tall/long. So I am still stuck in jeans or skirts..

My problem is I am in-between sizes and always have been. Before I put on some weight everything was either tooooooo tight or too big. Now I have put on about 30lbs and still can't find clothes. I can't shop at regular stores too small and plus sizes are too big.

I have tried womens clothing and the waist goes up to my chest.. lol.. I am short waisted.

And shirts are the same, my chest is too big for regular size clothing and the plus sizes don't fit somewhere, I just look frumpy.

Any suggestions????

...Clothes alterations? That's the only thing I can think of.

Clothes alteration is probably your best bet. If you invest money in clothes that you really like it would be worth it to go to a tailor. They can take them in and out as your body changes. I seen it on T.V. and i think they said an average alteration is about $20 which really isn't a bad idea if you spend a bit of money on clothes.

I would definitely try on lots of different clothes to see what flatters and fits you most. I agree that spending money to have your clothes tailored is a great idea. I wouldn't buy stretchy clothes as those could accentuate things on your body that you don't like. Tops that have an empire waist or fitted underneath the breasts and flow away from your body will accent the smallest part of your waist. Wide legged jeans elongate the legs and are more flattering.

I'm petite so I can't help you there.. but! Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors make the BEST sizes. I'm in between but their sizes fit me perfectly. I get them on sale at Macy's for 20 bucks on the sales racks! Also their tops are perfect for me. I'm very top heavy (36 DD! D and I need shirts that don't button up because I pop buttons, but that aren't sacks either. I shop around at Macy's for nice brands like RL, MK, Oscar de la Renta, and the money I spend is well worth it. If I go to another place I buy clothes and then I have them altered to fit me. Especially work clothes cause I gotta be looking nice! =D
