Default What do you think about dress type tops over jeans?

I bought one of those dress type tops the other day to wear over jeans. Wore it today and is very comfy but can't help thinking it looks like a maternity top/dress.

what are peoples thoughts on these?

What I've been really into is high-waisted jeans and a flowy camisole tucked in. It still gives the appearance of having a waist/curves but still leaves some room for the shirt to billow/still look super cute. Rich&Skinny has a great pair for going out, etc. but a cheaper pair is not hard to find at all!

I love them, but not too baggy and it's the way you wear them.

Personally, i think the jeans have to be semi tight, showing you have long legs by incorporating high heals as well. And, have your hair down.

It can be a disaster if you do it wrong, but do it right and you're fine Empire waists will always give that "preggers" illusion, but for some women (depending on your shape, and the drape of the fabric!) It's just fine.
Like CW said, the jeans need to be close to your body. Also, try to avoid flares with the empire-waist tops as the end of the top and the ends of the bottoms as well will draw the eye outward. Try capris with that look. They work wonders, cuffed or otherwise, and add a touch of fun to the outfit.

I wore the top with straight legged jeans and heals and as I am quite tall it did excentuate the leaness and length of the leg.

This part of it I liked but because the top/dress is drapey and doesn't show your waist, which is my usual style, it is taking a bit of getting used to.

I would hate if anyone thought I was wearing it because I was pregnant. Can you imagine being on a nice day out and someone asking you when you are due? lol I would be horrified!!!!!

I wear them with black tights and a high black belt. They too make me look maternal

I will usually go for the style that are bold prints and then accessorize with plain colours. Also, it helps if they come with an elastic waist or at least a bit of ribbon to tie the middle...

Hahaha, if anyone asks, just say you having a 'bloat' day

Default It look so sexy on anyone...!

Hi there,

According to my opinion it should look very cute and sexy on anyone. I'm talking on my personal experiences. Anyway i think if you really want to get comments about it and if you want to know whether it can be modified to more stylish way it is better to get an help from a website like RestyleMe - Style Advice, Show Off Style, Fashion Advice.

It is really good website and what it does is after we upload our photo we get comments and ideas about our fashion styles and what the changes need to be made to make us much more stylish. The best thing is we get comments from other people all around the world. So have a look at it.

And feel free to reply me if you found it helpful..!

Thanks.
Shank
