No I wouldn't trash it, although you are right, it's the current rage...some of the pictures are nice, but it's not me...

Let's see, next time around.. if there is one....very different than before, mostly because I won't be marrying my EX!! lol

But seriously, I think outdoors or small chapel, intimate, rocking party focused more on fantastic food and fellowship with friends would be in order...perhaps a destination wedding with some family/friends...then the honeymoon starts immediately...hee hee!

I cannot do it ever. How one can do such thing? It can be a work of destructive mind only.

The photos are pretty, I'll admit, but what ever happened to saving your dress to have your daughter wear either in some part or as a whole...? o.O It seems like an awful waste of money, time, sewing, fabric, and effort on the part of the fabricators.... I can't stand wastefulness so this, although pretty, makes me a little angry.

A lovely thing that you can do with a wedding gown if you can't keep it or the marriage has gone sour, whatever, is to donate it. There several options for this, my niece is marrying a veteran and on veteran's day they had an event where the prospective bride could go to various shops where people had donated dresses and choose a dress for free. She got a lovely dress, I will be altering it for her. It was certainly not one that they could have afforded.

I abhor waste. To purposefully destroy something that another could really use or get joy from, is an act of meaness. If you have something that can be used by another or recycled, then as a member of the planetary family, you need to donate it or pass it on somehow so that it can be use effectively.

I would keep my dress. I couldn't destroy it, it would be too special to throw away or ruin.

Agreed Little Chuck! The memories I have in my wedding dress are too precious, me walking down the aisle in it with the man of my dreams, dancing with him in it. Too many! It makes me smile just to look at it.

And because the dress I have might one day be a great dress for one of my children. (I say children because me and my Husband will be working on number two someday )

Plus my dress is just too pretty!!!
