Default Black is safe but

I think everyone has a "little black dress" no?

Black jacket, trousers, skirts...

I do believe it's slimming for sure, but I love adding colour, colour, colour.

Match handbags ie) gold with gold jewelery..

Or Electric blue jacket and necklace...

How many people when they put black on, see it as "black" in-other words, I'm feeling down, or don't look good today so I'll go for black and don't add colour.

I tend to think, that adding colour "adds colour to your day" kind of makes you feel great and that sticking to "just all black" does in fact make you sometimes feel very moody...

What do you lot think?

I LOVE black lol.

I do agree with the adding colour also, especially in the summertime like pink, green, yellow. Not too much but just a lil something. I like wearing a black pants with prolly a pink top and matching earrings.

I wear far too much black myself. Actually I used to be a bit of a goth in my early teens, but nowadays I force myself to wear colour because as you say it does life the mood somewhat.... I wear more brown these days haha!

When I'm dressing for a night out I automatically reach for the black and sometimes have to give myself a telling off and put something brighter on instead. Obviously black has its' place, it can be look really classy and sophisticated especially with the right accessories.

But yeah colour is good, although I'm not a big fan of black mixed with bright colours. It's kinda all or nothing for me.

I have ended up with a LOT of orange in my closet, it being one of my school's colors. Turns out, it looks good on me, but most of the orange is in the form of T-shirts ... so it's not really going-out clothing.
Green is one of my favourite playful colors. Yellow, too. They're just a lot of fun and as a plus, green is supposed to be very "in" right now.
But in the wintertime I usually do stick with black, grey, white, and maybe pastel colors ... nothing too bright. Lots of sweaters and hoodies, and those don't generally come in electric pink

Im with Maz, i have to force myself not to reach for black trousers and tops. Its strange as if im at work and dont really care what im looking like (i work outdoors), i never wear black, but as soon as i get ready to hit the town, my reflexes grab black... weird.

I also used to be a bit goth in high school and had a lot of black. My wardrobe is completely different now and where I used to ABHOR pink, it's probably now the dominant color in my wardrobe just because I actually look great in it! But I still have the standby black trousers and little black dress.

Oh I totally know what you mean.. At work, we can only wear either black, white, or red shirts and either black or khaki pants.. Mix and match? sure, as long as it's those colors. Whenever I wear all black, I always HAVE to have color. I usually get a headband of whatever color I'm in the mood for; grab some matching earrings, mathing bracelets if I have any of whatever color I want, etc. I alsp think that all black with no other color is sort of depressing.. And since I am very light-skinned, wearing all black makes me look even paler.. So I try to avoid that whenever I can :P

BTW, I do have a little black dress a well. When I wear it, I'm more than likely also wearing a black pair of heels, but I make sure to do my nails and toenails some pretty color. And the make up. Can't forget the make up!

You're not cool if you don't have a flair of colour somewhere.

I used to wear black a lot in college, as an art student it was a uniform of sorts.
Now I wear a lot of brown, it goes beautiful with cream, orange, turquoise and gold accessories. Which I have a lot of. I really do think its all about accessories altho’ less is more in my book.

If I do wear all black nowadays, I love to add a really interesting sexy shoe, keep a very simple eye, and strong red lips. Classic.
