Tour De Pink

Anyone know what it is?!

It's an annual cycling marathon which supports breast cancer awareness and........ I registered for it!!

it's gonna be next Sunday [Sept 7] at 7 am. I'm excited!! Oh I also just got my little brother to register with me so that's gonna be fun :]

Just felt like rubbing it in :P

Anyone been to or going to any cool marathons like that?

I donate 10% of my monthly earnings to this, it's a good cause and congratulations go walk the mile so to speak...

I think giving is the most rewarding thing we can do in life.

Mind you more importantly I am an animal lover if i could give to that, that , would be my dream.

I'm running a race on the 7th. It's a 7 mile trail race with the last half mile crossing a waist-deep river. I signed up to do it for fun, but my competitive side is taking over and now I'm nervous that I've gotten in over my head. Haha. I've talked to some serious runners who do endurance marathons and even they said this race is hard, it's the terrain I suppose.
Anyway, I'm signed up now.

Sourpuss, my marathon and your race were on the same day! How did yours go??

Tour De Pink went AMAZING!!
23 miles felt like a breeze! It kinda sucked going uphill though but other than that, everything was phenomenal. If I could, I'd totally do it all over again; I will next year. Ohh my brother [15] did the 12 miles and the poor thing was completely exhausted right after it, but even he says it's worth it. There was a group of women there.. All wearing "I am a survivor" pins on their shirts.. They walked up to us and said "Thank you.. If it wasn't for you guys doing this, we wouldn't be here right now" Man, it was such a great feeling, expecially crossing that finish line

I got invited to do a 5 mile run on the 18th of October so I'm definitely thinking about signing up for that :]

Yay! Good for you.

My race went well. I beat my goal time by 8 minutes so that was good. I can't wait to do it again next year. I'll be doing a 5k in two weeks, so that will seem like nothing.
