Question "the short skirt and sexy shorts fitness solution"

Hello, I am 24, 5'7'' and 211 pounds. My goal is 150. I plan to accomplish this with healthy eating, some diet pills and some fitness.
I start student teaching next week and I'm a single mother so I'll be swamped with stuff to do in my day. I won't have time for extensive exercising till May 9th (graduation!!!). So, I bought *LEG MAGIC*. It was around 150 at Kohls. The reviews were pretty good so I decided to give it a try. I really like it. It's simple and really works. I have it set up in my living room and I hop on and do 50 reps throughout the day. My goal WAS to do 500 reps a day. (the video is lame). However..I"m having lower back pain. I don't know if its because im using muscles ive never used before, or if its something more serious. It doesn't feel like a pulled muscle or anything. Anyway, I went to the chiro today and I plan to lay off of the machine for while.
ANyone else have these problems? Overall I still really like it. If this back pain wasn't slowing me down I think Id really start seeing results soon. HOPefully I can get back at it soon!

Are you stretching a lot. That could be part of the problem. Also, make sure you are standing on it completely upright, don't hunch forward or lean back. Just balance over your feet.
Add in some core strengthening exercises. (Sit-ups and supermans) to help stabalize you.

Third, ditch the diet pills. Just eat right and exercise. Losing weight is a lifestyle change.

standing up straight was exactly what my chiro said. I thought that I was, but now I'm going to be more conscious of it. I have an exercise ball that I've been using for situps to help my mid section.

I've been trying different motivations and ways to lose weight for years. I'm going to give them a try and if they don't work I'll toss them. I'm not depending on them alone by any means..I'm still eating healthy and exercising.

Tight, unstretched hamstrings are often the culprit for lower back pain. Mine get like concrete if I don't stretch them, and without even knowing it, tight hamstrings will cause you to push your pelvic area forward and slump over a bit. If you're working muscles you haven't in a long time, stretching this area is SUPER important. Look up some good hamstring stretches and do them before and immediately after your workout. It'll not only help the back pain, but will make standing up straight come more naturally.

I agree with SP...ditch the pills. If you're on a good nutrition plan, and are exercising daily....you most certainly don't need the diet pills. They might give you quicker results, but if you want LASTING results, do it the natural way.

Good luck to you!!

Stretching is definitely a key factor to any exercise, I remember when I played racket ball alot if I didn't stretch very well it was miserable afterward but when I learned too, it made me a better player. That's what you're learning, to become a better player! Warm up and Warm down!
