Arrow What Exercise Routine do you enjoy?

I have often said that if you don't enjoy the work out, you just won't do it! I have recently lost 17lbs through diet and exercise.

At this point, I actually enjoy working out! I have set goals and created a plan to keep me on track. I utilize my treadmill and the Firm and the Fluidity bar. I love it!! I work out about 5X a week.

Share your exercise routines. Have you heard of the Firm or the Fluidity Bar? Both are awesome for toning and losing weight.

What works for you?

Competition works for me. I have to have something that I'm working towards to motivate me. I am a competitive boxer, that's my 'passion'. But I need to be in really good shape to be good, so I've taken up running 5 and 10Ks and I actually enjoy running for the first time in my life.

The last two months I've been training for a triathlon. I don't know if I'll ever actually do one, but the cross-training is fun.

When the weather gets nice I'll be out hiking and trail running as much as possible!

20 minutes of yoga every morning. I'm still a beginner but was able to attempt and finish a power yoga workout yesterday, woot!

I also workout 6 afternoons out of the week, alternating between "classical stretch" and cardio.

Talking Awesome Advice!

Everyone seems to really know what they want! I think that is key! If you see yourself already there, already accomplishing what you want, you will do whatever it takes to get there!

Sure, there will be days when you don't feel like working out or days when you may eat a hot fudge sundae, but those are okay too! Just stay focused on the goal and I'm telling you, your brain will get set to automatic pilot. You will ultimately create positive habits and you will do these great things for your body out of a natural tendancy.

Heck, I don't give myself a reason not to exercise! If I make time to eat, I make time to exercise!! You know???

Oh and I have a major crush on one of the trainers at the gym so I have no problem getting to the gym. Haha. At this point he probably thinks I don't have a life because I'm always there.

That's funny, I had a crush on my personal trainer years ago, and I married him! lol.

I have been a personal trainer for the past 10 years, so I've tried pretty much every workout. My faves are triathlon training (I have done a few and plan to do more this summer) and strength training. I just love seeing muscles in the mirror! I enjoy hill sprints as well because nothing gets the fat off like the high intensity intervals of blasting up the hill!!

I enjoy destressing and time to think by running 4-5x weekly. I usually use my treadmill and watch one of my favorite shows on tv and the time usually flies by. I also do high intensity interval training which is hard but worth it. If it's nice I'll do my long day outside... or some extra on the weekend. I ended up running more than 2 hours total one day this week because my bf wanted to go out running on a nearby trail after I had finished my long run on the treadmill. I'm always up for some extra cardio so of course I went!

I also do weight training 3x a week to keep myself toned and shapely, and of course I carefully watch what I eat. It's definitely worth the extra discipline because I feel good and look good too.

One thing that helps me is having a mirror on the wall in front of my treadmill - that way I can see myself and critique my form - I usually work harder when I can see what I'm doing!
