I recently joined CURVES last week, its a gym for women only. i absolutely love it! Being a past member of a regular gym, i have to say it is much more fun at CURVES. The workout is not boring at all, infact i actually enjoy working out more than i ever have before! the workout is 30-40mins but you can stay longer if you like. it is a bit far from my home but i walk to go and walk to come back home, i consider that a warm up!lol. i also feel very comfortable since theres only women there!
They have CURVES all over america, so if any of you ladies thinking about joining the gym i would say go for CURVES!!

I totally agree with you patricia. Once, I went to Women's Workout World to try it with my friend and it was sooo much fun!!! Its a great place to workout, and its focused entriely to women. The workout incorporates weights in an aerobic workout. We were constantly moving...it wasn't easy either and I'm kinda athletic myself. If anyone is considering losing weight as a new year's resolution, try one of these women's workout places!

Default Curves

I was terrified of setting foot in a gym- I envisioned that it would be a lot like high school gym class- a lot of catty backbiting and whispering about the fat girl. I have been obese all of my life but surprisingly relatively healthy. However, due to my anal retentive boss and money issues because of my husband's lack of work, my blood pressure and weight started climbing due to the stress. I knew that I had to do something. I was scared to death to go to the gym but I went anyway. I have been going to CURVES for a little over a year. The new friends that I have made and the support that I have received has made working out one of the easiest and most enjoyable things that I have ever done. I have lost 48 pounds and 32.5 inches since joining. I HIGHLY recommend CURVES. It has been the best thing I have ever done for me.

Thats awesome!
I also love it, i have only been going for about 3 weeks. I love the workout routine, in my local gym i use to get bored really quick but in curves i like how we have to change machines all the time. I get a really good sweat in my workout.
My weigh in date is the 12th of january, i hope i lost atleast 2 pounds, altough i have to admit i ate alot of junk during the holidays . i plan to burn it off though .i'll keep u all undated!

Default Be Careful...

Curves is a great and convenient way to exercise. But be careful, the average 30 minute workout at Curves only burns 180 calories. That is a little more than a can of Coke.
