If you can't tell, I'm big on tracking, but if you want to try it, send me a PM and I'll figure out a way to send it to you.
Yeah totally, that'd be great - Thanks...I've heard from many that tracking yourself - weight, foods you eat, # of days you work and for how long etc - are awesome ways to keep things in perspective...So I think its fly to get into it...

Regarding fitness, do what feels right to you to start. Maybe try something low impact at first to get used to it and work up from there. Get on the treadmill and walk for 30 min. You don't want to push it too hard if you are just starting out, it could do more harm than good.
Cool! Ill definitely look into it...I've never heard of it...

And that's quite fine, in my opinion. It's a matter of opinion and what makes you happy.

Great. If you're looking for any pointers or have any questions, just ask.

I'll note that one of the biggest mistakes I see people make when they start this process is a rigid dieting mentality. They forget that first and foremost this is about calories. Sure, the foods that comprise said calories is also very important for health.

But people tend to get so rigid about what foods they're eating... so much so that they forget the importance of calories.

This rigid mentality also sets them up for failure more often than not. Due to the restrictive nature of their food choices, they inevitably cave. It seems to establish this all-or-none mentality. This plays out when they do cave. They'll eat a cookie or two, which doesn't ruin their nutrition. But the mindset says, "Whoa, I caved and blew it. I might as well eat the whole box now and start fresh tomorrow or next week or whatever."

It can't be like this if your results are going to be permanent. We need to adopt habits that aren't torturous... things we can maintain for a lifetime.

I have my clients ask themselves, "Could I see myself doing this forever? "

If the answer is no... it's probably a good idea to reassess some things.

Just some stuff to be cognizant of as you dive in to this lifestyle.
Lord knows how many times I've said that to myself in the past...Caving is definitely a problem with me...
I didnt really believe this could happen when I used to hear other people having an epiphany, you know at like 3am, about some aspect of their life...But seriously, its like a light just went off just out of NOWHERE and I've been waiting and waiting and WAITING for it and it actually happened...and now Im so ready to start something to really help ME instead of what others think of me...My parents used to tease me relentlessly about my weight issues...and then school...high school...ugh...I could write a book...But now, corny as it sounds, Im so ready to do this for ME and not for someone else...I guess thats whats kinda helpin' me through, especially when I want to "cave"

Some people don't like to track, I don't blame them, it takes dedication.

Also, to OP, I recommend WATER WATER WATER. I average about 110oz a day, never anything less than 96oz, but I work myself into oblivion during my workouts most times. But it will help with your weightloss too.
    Thank you :0)

I read somewhere about too much water being a problem...especially when you're trying to lose a significant amount of weight...I have the article at home...Wish I could remember the exact wording...

I actually was thinking about this the other day. I was talking to a few people last week and they were shocked in regards to my daily water intake. Saying that is entirely too much water. I never really felt that way, but I'm ALWAYS thirsty. I asked someone on here yesterday and he said that my intake isn't too much, it would have to be a significant higher amount. 100oz's isn't that significant especially the more active you become. I personally think the rule of 8 x 8, is too little.

I actually did just find this on the Livestrong site today.

"Our muscles are composed of 70 percent water. When we are active, we burn calories at a higher rate than when we are in our normal state, causing us to lose body fat. Losing fat causes the body to need a higher percentage of water. As we gain muscle through exercise, we also require more water. Because we store glycogen in the muscles, an element that is used as energy, the more fit we become, the more glycogen is produced. Each gram of glycogen holds approximately three grams of water, which also needs replenishment."

I'm by no means very knowledgeable about this, but there are people on here who are.
