Alternate days of cardio and weight training. Sounds like what you need is just better overall fitness. You're not overweight, so you don't have that hurdle to get over. Just add strength and conditioning and you'll most likely see results fairly quickly.

I'll echo sourpuss. Since it sounds like you haven't been exercising... pretty much anything will work for the time being. The body adapts/responds positively to stress it's unaccustomed to, assuming adequate recovery is allowed.

That said, beginners can get away with relatively anything and see positive change since they're bodies are accustomed to very little.

Make sense?

I'd stick with things you enjoy. Simply become more active and yea, throwing in some form of resistance training is probably a good idea. A gym is best for this but certainly not required.

Do you plan on joining a gym? Or what tools do you have at your disposal?

These two things are one in the same.

Becoming tone is a function of maintaining muscle while losing fat. It's that simple. We can't tone up various sections of our bodies with targeted exercises, unfortunately.

Hey i suggest water therapy to reduce your fat normally. Drink 6 liters of water daily and you can see a drastic change. And use twister to get a proper shape for your body.

Water won't do a thing if calories aren't in check.

If you're eating too much food/calories, fat won't be mobilized regardless of what secret sauces you try. It's that simple.

Yes, cardio 3 days per week and weights twice per week would be a fine starting point.

Be sure not to overexert yourself. The first couple of weeks should be all about acclimating yourself to the demands of exericse. On the cardio front, take it easy. Some people even start off with walking and slowly work in jogging as conditioning improves.

On the weight lifting front, go as light as possible until you're 100% confident with the exercises you're doing. Then you can focus on adding weight.

Also with weight lifting, you don't want to spend a lot of time, if any at all, on small muscle groups. Focus on big compound exercises that require the most muscle mass to execute. Think squats, lunges, straight leg deadlifts, presses, pulls, etc.

And yea, diet is going to be more important than any of this stuff.
