Default Wondering what i can do to help this?

Hiya,

I want to lose a bit of weight, people think im stupid for it but i have noticed myself i have put on weight on the lower part of belly when i sit down this bit just hangs over my trousers and never used to, so i was just wondering how i could help tone this back up again. I have been doing situps but i dont feel this is working. any suggestions?

You can also put a broom at the back of your neck, extend your arms on both sides and twist, not too fast or far as you get used to it.

Climb stairs up and down.

Walk 20 minutes every day at a fast pace.

And, unfortunately, it's fatty foods - goes straight to our waist so for a month, stick to fruits/veg/seeds/avocados/eggs/wholemeal breads/tomato base sauces only/no fried foods/200gms only of red meat twice a week/fish and lean white meats/tuna...

That's what I do when I want to get back into shape... Every winter I just allow myself to go with the flow and that's exactly where my weight shows, only the stomach and that is what I do, in addition naturally water, water, water and it goes very quickly.

You don't get to pick and choose where you lose fat on the human body. It's not the way physiology works, unfortunately. Not saying you can't do things to lose fat in general...

Yep - Miss Chandler is correct.

That's your diet biting you in butt.

That roll is fat accumulation. You're going to have to cut back on your high calorie foods and add some brisk exercise to your regimen. 30 minutes of cardio on an elliptical should help "A LOT". If you are just noticing this, one week of steady progress will yield impressive results.

Situps aren't going to get rid of fat. Situps tone muscle. You can quit those.

Men tend to put on weight in their lower stomachs.

Women have it much worse, as it tends to accumulate around their hips and butt.

Stress can create a womens abdomen to bloat and of course fat. However ... I am in the same situation and have learned that the more I focus on it the more it does not help. Instead I go walking now every other day which helps allieviate stress by having me time and breathing in fresh air and I have learned to just watch what I eat ... which I know can be hard but I believe a slight little change in a daily routine everyday has and can do wonders...long term ..
