Default Does it help to keep an exercise journal?

I am planning on starting to exercise with my husband and want to get every advantage that I can (trying to lose weight) and I wanted to know if it helps to keep an exercise journal? How would I go about using one of these exercise log things? Do I just make one up or can you buy them somewhere?

Thumbs up Journals do help!!

There is a contest at the gym I go to that is based on "the biggest loser". We all have 3 months to succeed in our goal. To help us, we have to follow some rules. A few are : come in for weekly weigh in, go to the gym a certain # of times, and to keep your diet journal. I never kept one of these til now. I am happy to report that 5 weeks into the contest I am down 20lbs! Basically, keeping the journal made me think twice about eating my sons leftovers or having 2 snacks instead of one. Working out has been fun too!

Go to fitday.com and choose the "FREE" diet journal. It is enough. Don't buy the upgrade. I've been keeping mine there. You could even make it public. I'm attaching a limk to mine so you could see there is never a need to starve. I EAT EVERYTHING- LOL.

Good luck. My hubby actually joined fitday tonight after having seen my success!
