For me? I like a little meat on their bones - don't get me wrong - I don't like obese nor even fat women, but the larger build is nice (for me). But saying this - noone should feel uncomfortable in their own skin, and as has been said here several times already, its not what I initially go for. Its the person inside that counts! I can certainly be a tad odd with what I like and dislike and I don't think I'm the typical in this regard. ie: I like a nice butt more than boobs (most men go the other way) and I really don't like BIG boobs at all, as they say "more than a mouthful is a waste", I don't particularly like Blonds (never ever even dated one) - brunette and red is where its at for me, and following the thread - the super slim woman does nothing for me, she has to have a shapely body, but not overweight either.

Just my 2 cents; but again I will caveat this with the fact that weight should NOT be the first thing anyone see's - sure we have preferences but should that right lady come along that is not quite within our preferences and we click. That is what counts the most!

I've read through some of the posts and I agree with "To each their own".

I'm a UK size 8, but I don;t like being this size and my partner has said I should put on more weight, and I would like to.
Unfortunatley thin build runs in my family, so therefore I find it very difficult to gain weight.

I'm not a very slim person but I still would rather curves, like a real woman.

    LOL
I was always very slim in my youth. As I got older, had children, ate too much ice cream, I put on weight and then there really was too much of me. I took up running and got in shape, then got emotionally blown away and was working really hard and backed off the exersize. It hasn't gone too far but its time to get a handle on it again.

Some years ago an old friend I went to school with surprised me by commenting on how "skinny" I had been in school. I had thought of that as the time I was really in shape. I did recall a bf who had complained that "you could cut yourself" on my hip bones. So perhaps I was a little too thin. We ate less junk then, walked miles everyday - everywhere we went. I did yoga long before it was popular and did an exersize program that evolved into pilates.
I can understand your feeling that you need to add a little padding. Just be healthy about it.

Well I didn't read the zillion earlier posts, but the poll seems biased. Is my choice really slim or overweight?

I like healthy. That can be a fairly wide range of weights depending on the person. I like women who are healthy and happy (often go together), who enjoy getting out and doing fun things.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so whatever floats your boat. What each of us generally find attractive may have common characteristics, but it is a moving target.

As a girl who likes other girls, I'd like to weigh in on this. I'm a bigger girl (tall and chubby), and I like short, full-figured women. That is everything from chubby like me to just more hour-glass shaped. I do not like super skinny girls, or as I call them "14 year-old boys with boobs." It grosses me out.

Okay, re-reading some of the posts, perhaps I was a little fast to post here. I totally agree that being healthy is the most important thing about a partner. Who cares if they are overweight or thin if they are hurting themselves? We have that a serious problem on both sides of the scale in this country. Also, I agree that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

After eventually getting to the end of the posts (lol) I'm liking the saying "each to their own"!!!

I'm a big girl who has struggled with her weight. Since meeting my partner I have cycled through the slimmest I have been in years and also the heaviest. Throughout this he has always told me the parts he loves about me (boobs and backside ) and encouraged me to change the things I want to change! He and my friends find me attractive for my whole package...imperfections and all.

But at the end of the day I think all women are beautiful in their own way...whether thats amazing eyes, a great sense of humour, intelligence, a perfect body or anything else that makes a woman stand out.

One thing I would like to get off my chest is that just because I am a big girl doesn't make me unhealthy...I go to the gym about 4 times a week, dont eat junk food and would have a go at jumping over a lot of fences...that ones all about attitude lol

It depends on the guy really. My husband says he doesn't, but I'm a fluffy girl lol.

For me I think girls who are slim are more attractive, but when I say slim I mean in proportion and toned but curvy at the same time. To me, girls without curves look waaayy to angular and well.. boney. I think if I were that way inclined I'd rather have a girl with a bit more padding

Personally i've always battled with my weight, currently I'm size 14-16 in UK sizes which scares me because I always said I didn't want to EVER reach a size 16... however now I see that it's more than just a "one size means your fat" thing, being taller and broader means my sizes will be slightly larger by default, and if I ever fit into a size 10 again I would probably look horribly skinny. For me ideal would be a small size 14 or a large size 12. So goal wise, I just want to drop one more size to what I think is attractive and acceptable healthwise!
