I want to start jogging but I am worried it will cause my breasts to stretch, even with a good sports bra. I have nice boobs and I don't want to turn them bad lol.

Any joggers out there have any advice/experience they want to share?

There is a school of thought that running braless is better for you and your breasts. I'm fairly small but find it a but uncomfortable, so I think it just depends on what you find comfortable.

    Thanks, WC
I am a size D and I tried jogging once in a normal bra and I had to hold my arm across my chest the whole time to stop them bouncing around everywhere and hurting. There is no way I could jog braless!

The article I read claimed that in a short time your muscles would actually strengthen and it would feel better. I'll take a look and see if it survived the computer melt down - I may have it in a file.

Yea I've seen that too. There are articles that suggest not wearing sports bras because it helps the supporting fibers and muscles develop and prevents problems with the breasts. I tended to pull muscles in front of my shoulders doing barrel racing without a good bra. My horse dropped way too fast in to turns. I got in to the habit of always wearing sports bras and don't really own much else.

Nor me, am a 32E so there is no way that I am going to suffer with "two black eyes" so as for going braless.....forget it.

Even with wearing a decent sports bra I still found it rather uncomfortable.

But of course I am open to all sensible ideas.

    Default jogging and bouncing

I'm very small up top, but when I was jogging a lot I found two problems w/ going without a bra.

First, though my breasts are very small, they still bounced around enough to make me uncomfortable. Also very noticable (at least in my head) to folks I passed on the sidewalk.

Second, even with a soft tee-shirt, I got chafing on the ends of my nipples. I was averaging 25 miles a week back then, so a short run may not have been a problem. They make little silicone caps to wear for that (even guys in the running club wore them) but my solution to both problems was a tight sports bra every run.

I agree with p3375, get a good quality tight sports bra. I'm small as well, but there is no way I could run without one.
Champion makes a good padded sports bra you can buy at Target and there are also good ones from under armor and nike. If you look athleta's website they have loads of sports bras and each one is labeled for how much stability it has.

I have friends who wear two sports bras as well, but I think if you get a good enough one, you'll only need the one.
    Good luck and enjoy jogging.

About 6 months ago, I was worried about jogging also - but more because of the pain!! I'm 34C and the thought of jogging without a sports bra...well, lets just say..OUCH!!

I went to the mall and got a couple Champion double dry sports bras (max support). I think the style # 2019. They work pretty good.

Granted....I only jog about once a week for about 15 minutes or so as part of my other fitness activities.

I still to elipticals for this reason. It hurts my breasts to run. I can do a short distance in any bra or braless, but no matter which I wear I have to literally hold them to run comfortably... which is pretty embarassing.
