    Hey guys,

The last few weeks I have been trying to not necessarily lose weight, but to eat healthier and get more in shape. I am happy with my weight and I am already pretty thin, but I want my stomach to be more flat and toned. If I run 15 minutes and walk 15 minutes four days a week, do 100 crunches everyday, and eat healthy- Will I get results?

If that's more than you currently do then your body will adjust and you will burn more calories and probably get a bit more toned. Eventually you'll have to step it up to maintain that. Maybe you can get to a point where you are jogging the entire 30 minutes/4days a week.

    Good luck!

keep a food diary. Write down everything you eat and keep track of your calories.
If you only buy healthy foods, you won't have junk to eat. So don't even tempt yourself. Plan ahead and pack your lunches so you never end up somewhere really hungry and go for fast food.

if you ask my opinion then on early morning, before eating anything, lay down and keep your feet at 40 degree up for jus 5 min.
do it everyday and see the result.

Yea, that most likely won't work.

As for the OP, why 100 crunches every single day?

Every person is different and its hard to say what type of exercise / diet will help you lose weight.

I've been going to the gym about an hour 3x a week doing the weights, riding the bike & jogging. Nothing major. I haven't lost any weight.

My eating habits stink - I know, but I just can't eat like a rabbit and enjoy myself. I've weighed the same for 10 years - haven't lost or gained any.
I'm firmer now....and lost 30 points on my cholesterol. THis is good!!

You first - have to find a fitness program that you can enjoy and make it a regular 'habit'. As for the diet thing....you can try changing that also...but I honestly believe people jump in with both feet doing ALL sorts of changes and they just can't keep up with it. Take baby steps first before you can walk.

If you want to get a flat stomach, you have to lose the fat collecting around this area.

What i'm about to say is the same for EVERYONE.

Losing fat is accomplished by introducing your body to a caloric deficit...where your body burns more calories than it takes. As a result, the body will start burning accumulated fat stores for energy.

Easiest way to accomplish a caloric deficit is through intense cardiovascular activity daily, and a daily reduction in calories. Count your calories....and do your cardio.

Might as well scrap the doing crunches idea...it isn't going to help.

Don't watch the scale...watch how your clothes fit. You don't necessarily lose weight when you lose fat.

    Good luck.
